Annie Duke is a world champion poker player, and her book Thinking in Bets is not a book about how to play poker. It is a masterclass in decision making and thinking about risk.

All leaders make decisions, some minor and some more consequential for the future of the organizations they lead.
Taken from her book, “To be sure, thinking in bets is not a miracle cure. Thinking in bets won’t make self-serving bias disappear or motivated reasoning vanish into thin air. But it will make things better. And a little bit better is all we need to transform our lives.”
Duke wrote another book How to Decide that I also recommend. If you are serious about improving your decision-making skills, I encourage you to read Annie Duke’s books.
